Both Sophia and Joshua have birthdays in August, and they are only five days apart. This year we met Heather and the kids for a joint celebration at Farrells' Ice Cream Parlour and Restaurant for lunch. Farrells is a great place to take kids because they can BE KIDS, and birthdays are a big deal there, including ice cream sundaes to the celebrants, after they've been sung to by the entire wait staff. We had a fantastic waitress who made a point of learning all the kids names, talking to each of them, and making sure they were all having a great time.
Our little "princess in pink", Sophia, just turned seven. Joshua now holds up four fingers when you ask how old he is. They certainly seemed to enjoy the gathering, their sundaes and their gifts. Jonathan is now SO grown up, Isaac is such a funny little guy, and baby Victoria was smiling and happy throughout lunch, too. It was a great get-together!
