The changing weather...

 ...told us it was time to head home.  Since we'd always planned on leaving Wednesday, we were grateful that the rain held off until that morning, just as we were pulling out of the hotel.  By early afternoon we were back in Costa Mesa, having logged about 750 miles on our most recent adventure through Central California.
