Ooops...

All that fresh new wood mulch we spread in our in little side yard garden? A new brand of birdseed (we think having the shell left on makes the difference) has turned much of the mulch into a terrific growing medium for a carpet of "plant unknown"! Not quite sure how we're going to give that a hair-cut, or if we'll have to just rake it all out and start over. In the meanwhile, we've added a make-shift birdbath to that area in hopes that the doves will drink and "shower" there rather than in the patio fountain, driving our poor dear dogs crazy.
