Before leaving the park, we snapped a couple more "critters"; Larry just had to get a picture of that scary looking monitor. And, Margaret was soooooo tempted to visit the plant store with the elephant in front, but she refrained.... Leaving the park when we did, we were able to beat the worst of the northbound traffic back into Orange County. We even made a short stop at the barn so that our friends could meet "beautiful Bella"! It was a terrific day, but we were glad to get home to our own little menagerie. Burritos from our favorite local Mexican place were a welcome change after days of turkey, before crashing in front of the TV for the evening. You can be sure there was talk of our next visit to the San Diego Wild Animal Park, too!
