For our last night in town, we were once again grateful for having found puppy sitters who came to the hotel. The wife of the team, Katie, quickly made friends with our kids and we were headed into the night. One of Margaret's young riding students, Jennifer Berg, is in her first year at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo this year. We couldn't wait to see her while we were in the area - dinner at one of the SLO's best known steakhouses seemed like the perfect place to hear all about her new life. The visit was great, as was the prime rib we all ordered. After dinner, we walked a few blocks up the main drag and found an ice cream shop that sold Cal Maid Ice Cream, a treat we'd learned about a day before. Once we got Jennifer back on campus and ourselves back in our room, we realized it had been a long, busy day and we were all (dogs included) ready for a good night's sleep.
