Every year, in late fall and early winter, thousands of Monarch butterflies travel to a large grove of Eucalyptus trees just inside the "city" limits of Grover Beach. Certain that we were weeks too early to see this phenomenon of nature at its peak, we still wanted to see what we could. And, there they were - the earliest arrivals. We can only imagine what it's like when the air in this grove is thick with these lovely creatures.
