The mission in Ventura sits right in the town center. Reminiscent of most of those structures we've already seen, the Spanish architecture is graceful and old-worldly. And, in most cases, the bell tower (or towers) are striking and nearly always highly visible to the surrounding area.
There are a number of museums within walking distance of the Ventura mission, but only one, an archeological museum, was open to the public during this visit.
